Seven lecturers of the Business Studies Department(BSD) and 15 students under Total Quality Management (TQM) class visited Modern Concrete Products , LLC at Sohar Industrial Estate on March 21, 2016.

Production manager Mr. Ravi Chander , and HR manager Mr. Ahmed Al Risi provided a brief talk regarding the organization.

Marketing manager Mr. Srinivas also shared his views during the short tour within the production complex

The lecturers and students were given a tour in the entire production complex and were shown the various stages and steps in the production of interlocking tiles, building blocks, dry mix plasters and kerbstones.

The students also had a brief view inside the Control Room and the Quality Assurance Laboratory of the company.

The industrial tour was facilitated by the External Link Committee through Mr. Soofi and in support of the SPDC program for Lecturers’ Industry Visit.

The visit is the second visit of BSD Lecturers to an organization. The first visit was held last March 3, 2016 at Vale, involving 15 BSD lecturers.
