CRC Holds Seminar on TRC Research Grant Policies
College Research Committee (CRC) chairperson Dr. Mohammed Al Washahi spearheaded the seminar on The Research Council’s (TRC) policies on research grants at B-117 on February 23, 2016.
Dr. Mohammed demonstrated to the participants how to log in either as reviewer or institute on TRC’s Website as he encouraged them to submit research grants and identify good students who can submit their projects for TRC funding.
The CRC Chairperson also explained TRC’s different research grants , namely: Strategic Research Grants, Open Research, FURAP, Tourism and Graduate Research Support.
“We have to create time for research because it is for our own professional advancement,” Dr. Mohammed underscored during the seminar.
Participants in the seminar included IT HOD Dr. Mary Jane Aragon and some faculty from the different departments of the college.
Also present in the seminar were CRC members Dr. Suneel Kumar (Business Studies Department), Mr. Ranjit Prasanna (Information Technology Department), Dr. Joseph Dayag (English Language Center), and Dr. Mohammed Khazalah (Engineering Department).
TRC is Sultanate of Oman’s government-funding agency that promotes research and innovation.
